The Transformation
A lot of people ask me if the transformation hurts. No, it doesn't. The transformation is kind of hard to explain in detail but I can try.
What
really triggers the transformation is the moonlight not the moon
itself. The moon's light is a reflection of the sun's rays. When
the sun gives off its UV rays and they hit the moon the UV rays
mixes with the moon's surface rock and sand, because there
are no air molecules, thus there is no atmosphere to reflect
and absorb the UV rays, The
moon absorbs all
of the UV rays into its surface. So over hundreds of thousands of
years the moon collects around 10 to 15 times more radiation, UV rays, than the Earth.
When the moon collects enough radiation over time it stops
absorbing it and it reflects off of the moon. An analogy would be
if the UV rays were people and the moon was an elevator/lift that
never moves. When the elevator/lift gets full no more people can
get in, but they try. The people trying to get in are rejected
and move away. With radiation, however, when it's
reflected, it pulls or
breaks off other radiation already on he moon's surface. So, the moon loses
radiation already on it and it reflects the constant UV rays from
the sun. This almost doubles the amount of radiation hitting the
Earth if the moon didn't already give off radiation on its own, and more than
the sun, thus no
transformations can take place during the day. The reason that
transformation doesn't occur on any other cycle of the moon is
because when the moon is in a half cycle, for example, only half
receives sunlight, and thus UV rays, while the other
side doesn't. Even though the "dark side" of the moon
still gives off radiation, it's only about 1/3 of the radiation
reflected and given off by the other side. The radiation given
off from a full moon is plenty enough for a full transformation.
So now
you know why and when a transformation takes place, now I will
tell you how. Now, werewolves
aren't born as werewolves, we are in a way created. In order to
become a werewolf a person has to get bitten by another werewolf.
But like I said we aren't born as werewolves. So, the first
werewolf was actually bitten by a pure wolf. Now, people can and
are still becoming werewolves by pure wolves, but it is not
very likely for someone to get bitten by a werewolf or pure wolf, because both are
not prone to bite. Any mixture of wolf or werewolf blood entering
the human system is enough for them to become a werewolf. Even
though people have killed thousands of wolves records from around
the world show they have killed none of us. I already mentioned
that the radiation from the moon triggers a
werewolf's transformation, but in a pure
wolf the radiation can cause its DNA to strengthen so that it
doesn't become overpowered in the human body. Now this isn't in
all pure wolves, just a few, This strengthening of the DNA
usually only occurs in wolves that spend a lot of time in the sun
and moonlight and they usually have missing fur exposing parts of
their skin making them more susceptible to the moon's radiation.
If a
person spends a lot of time in the sun and moonlight or are near
similar types of radiation, such as power plants or radiation in
medicine their DNA, unlike wolves
because their DNA is different, it starts to
become weak but it doesn't break up. When wolf blood enters that
person, that wolf's DNA
enters their body and is there as an extra. That extra DNA brings
about an imbalance in their body and causes their DNA to weaken
even further. When the next full moon occurs the transformation
happens. After about 110 minutes in direct moonlight, the radiation
causes the DNA to break apart. But the wolf DNA stays intact
because wolves have an immune system in their DNA from being
outside constantly that stops the weakening process. Not all of
the DNA breaks apart because of the strength of certain DNA and
what information it contains. It's like a ranking system; there are
the strongest strands for every part of
the body. DNA containing "blue prints" for the nervous
system, for example, are split into
parts, the main strand controls the smaller DNA. It's those DNA
that break up. At the same time the broken human DNA reforms into
the "species" of animal DNA in the most quantity, which would be
the wolf's DNA. The whole transformation takes about 10 to 15
minutes. In that time the person feels extremely little pain.
They can feel their bones shrinking, a tail sprouting, and fur
covering their body. The oddest part is the sensation of the wolf
instincts flooding the mind and the view change from 5'9"
above ground and near-sighted to 3'2" and perfect vision, hearing, taste, and especially
smell.
Once the transformation is complete it lasts for about 7 to 8 hours, depending on how long they stay outside. When the person wishes to change back they must enter a place of shade from the moonlight. Once in the shade for 30 minutes, the dominant DNA, the human DNA, starts to reform new human DNA strands. The de-transformation lasts for about 10 minutes, and we do need clothes laid out once it's done.
